Special Session I: Energy-Transportation Integration and Interaction

The integration of energy and transportation is an inevitable trend for green and low-carbon transition and holds significant practical importance for promoting sustainable economic and social development and building a new-type power system. This special session on "Energy-Transportation Integration and Interaction" focuses on the core direction of bidirectional interaction between electric vehicles and the power grid, covering in-depth discussions on key areas including vehicle control and power battery technology, power electronics conversion technology, key technologies for bidirectional charging and discharging (V2G), integration of electric transportation and electricity markets, safety monitoring and assessment technology for electric transportation, and construction, operation, and maintenance technology of charging and swapping infrastructure. The session brings together experts from industry, academia, and research to exchange ideas, jointly promoting technological innovation and high-quality development of the energy-transportation integration industry.

Wen Wang

State Grid Intelligent Vehicle Networking Technology Co., Ltd. 

Wang Wen, male, is a Professor-level Senior Engineer and holds a Ph.D. He serves as the Deputy General Manager of State Grid Smart Internet of Vehicles Co., Ltd.-, the Secretary-General of the Electric Transportation Intelligent Charging and Swapping Network Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering (CSEE)-, and a Chief Expert of the China Energy Research Society (CERS)-. He is also a member of the expert review panel for the National Key Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, a senior expert in the fields of power system automation, electricity trading, and information security, and a member of the National Power Secondary System Security Protection Expert Group. He has been in the field of new power systems and electric vehicle integration for many years.. He has achieved multiple internationally and domestically milestone results in power grid dispatching, electricity trading, power marketing, and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) interaction-, contributing to the national energy and transportation transition. He has received the 2018 International Edison Award, the Silver Award at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, one First Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and two Second Prizes. He has led or participated in multiple national-level projects including 863 Program, 973 Program, and key R&D programs, and is a core backbone of national scientific and technological innovation.



Special Session Ⅱ: Energy Machinery Equipment Design and Application

This session focuses on academic exchange on the design theory, key technologies, and engineering applications of energy machinery and equipment. It covers topics including structural optimization, intelligent design, reliability and lifespan improvement, energy saving and efficiency enhancement, as well as intelligent operation and maintenance of high-end energy equipment. The session aims to bring together experts from universities, research institutions, and industry to share the latest research findings and engineering practice experiences, promote interdisciplinary integration and industry‑university‑research collaborative innovation, and support the upgrading of energy equipment towards greater efficiency, intelligence, reliability, and low‑carbon operation, thereby contributing to national energy security and the strategic goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.

Prof. Xiaoming Kang

University of South China, China

Leader of the New Energy Power and Energy Storage Team

Dr. Kang achieved his bachelor and Ph.D degree in Material Sciecne and Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University in 2011 and 2017, respectively. After graduation, he further served as a postdoc and research fellow in Prof. Luo Jinglli’s group (Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering) to fufil my job in the research of next generation energy conversion and storage devices, with an emphasis on exploring the oxygen evolution/reduction reaction and electrochemical carbon dioxide conversion at room temperatures. In 2022, he worked as an associated professor in School of Mechanical Engineering, University of South China. Till now, he hosted a National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shenzhen Postdoctoral innovative research programme, respectively. As a core-participant, he is a member in Shenzhen Innovative Research Team Program: Hydrogen energy and fuel cell electrocatalytic materials and Innovative project of Shenzhen graphene manufacturing innovation center: Development of graphene-based materials for anti-corrosion and antifouling of marine equipment and facilities, respectively. Besides, he once hosted a China Postdoctoral Science Foundation in 2019. Till now, he has published over 30 papers and 5 patents in Nature Communications, Chemical Communication, Polymer Chemistry, Journal of Material Chemistry A, Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Chinese Chemical Letters and etc.
