Prof. Wei Cai

Harbin University of Science and Technology, China


Biography:

Foreign academician of Russian Academy of Engineering, Expert of new energy motor and power electronic system, professor of Harbin University of Science and Technology. He proposed the anisotropic electromagnetic field finite element scheme, invented the "hair-card" flat wire winding and took the lead in the application of electric vehicle drive motor, and made significant contributions to the high efficiency rare earth permanent magnet motor, silicon carbide (SIC) based power electronic controller, oil cooling technology, vibration noise and new device/new material applications. He has won the First prize of China Automobile Industry Science and Technology Progress, the first prize of Beijing Science and Technology Progress and other more than ten awards and honors; He is also the recipient of many international awards, including the Automotive News Global Automotive Supplier Award for Outstanding Innovation and SAE Forest R. McFarland Award.

Prof. Jianping Chen

Suzhou University of Science and Technology, China

Biography:

Director of Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Building Intelligent Energy Saving; Director of Academic Committee of Jiangsu Engineering Research Center of Building Carbon Neutral Technology; Director of Suzhou Key Laboratory of Mobile Network Technology and Application; Visiting Professor of University Nice Sophia Antipolis, France. He was a researcher at Bell Labs, a senior technical consultant at IBM, an engineer at Lockheed Martin Aerospace Systems, and the deputy director of Data Science Research Center at Suzhou Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.


He is mainly engaged in the research of machine learning, digital twin, industrial big data application and digital building technology. He is in charge of prospective scientific research projects such as the National Key R&D Program Project, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Jiangsu Province Industry Foresight and Key Core Technology Program, Jiangsu Province Major Platform for Natural Science Research in Universities, and many common key technology projects commissioned by large central enterprises. He has been appointed as a mentor for several national key special projects. He has led a number of cross-disciplinary large-scale R&D projects in the U.S. and participated in projects such as the A2100-GE communication satellite of Lockheed Martin Space Systems, the largest U.S. defense company. He has published more than fifty academic papers (SCI/EI) and has been granted more than 20 national patents and 6 software copyrights.


He received his B.S. degree from Southeast University, China, M.S. degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology, Ph.D. degree from University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, France, and MBA degree from Washington University in St. Louis, USA. He has been selected as one of the major national talent projects (National Overseas High-Level Talents of the Ministry of Organization), Jiangsu Province's "Double Innovation Plan" and Suzhou City's "Gusu Science and Technology Leading Talents Plan".

Prof. Jizhong Zhu

South China University of Technology, China

Biography:

He is a professor of South China University of Technology (IEEE Fellow, IET Fellow, CSEE Fellow), and received his B.S., M.S., and Ph. D. degrees from the School of Electrical Engineering, Chongqing University in 1985, 1987, and February 1990, respectively. He is currently the Director and Professor of ISESOOC Center of South China University of Technology, and a national overseas high-level introduced talent. Since 2018 he is the chair of IEEE P2781 and P2783 International Standards Working Group, member of IEEE SMC Smart Power and Energy Systems Technical Committee, member of IEEE SMC Standards Committee; he was the chair of IEEE PES SBLC Loads subcommittee, senior chief power system engineer at Alstom Grid from 2000-2015 He became a Fellow of Alstom's Global Expert Committee in 2013.

Prof. Fushuan Wen

Zhejiang University, China

Biography:

Fushuan Wen is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Zhejiang University, IEEE Fellow. He has been a professor, visiting professor or visiting researcher at more than 10 overseas universities and research institutes, including the National University of Singapore. He is mainly engaged in the research of power system fault diagnosis and system recovery, power economy and power market, smart grid and electric vehicle. He has published more than 680 papers, more than 200 in SCI, more than 500 in EI, more than 680 in Scopus, and more than 14,800 citations. Since 2015, Prof. Fushuan Wen has been selected as one of the most highly cited scholars in China by Elsevier for five consecutive years, and his papers have been selected as one of the "100 most influential domestic academic papers in China" in 2016, and one of the "ESI (Essential Science The papers published by him were selected as the "100 most influential domestic academic papers" and "ESI (Essential Science Indicators) Highly Cited Papers" in 2016, and 9 papers were selected as the "F5000 - Top Academic Papers in Chinese Fine Science and Technology Journals" (abbreviated as F5000). He received the 1997 National Natural Science Award for his research results on the theory and methods of modeling, analysis and control of AC and DC power systems. His other seven achievements have been awarded the Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress Awards. He has received special allowance from the State Council. He has completed and undertaken more than 160 research projects, including 973 projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, 863 projects, National Science and Technology Support Program, National Natural Science Foundation of China, State Grid Corporation, and Southern Power Grid Corporation.

Prof. Junbo Zhang

South China University of Technology, China


Biography:

Junbo Zhang, PhD Supervisor, School of Electric Power Engineering, South China University of Technology, Guangdong Province Distinguished Young Scholars, Senior Member of IEEE, and Secretary General of IEEE PES SBLC(China). Mainly engaged in the interdisciplinary collaborative innovation work of "electrical engineering+artificial intelligence+software engineering+engineering management", focusing on the field of "power system operation and digital intelligence". Presided over a number of national and provincial scientific research projects. More than ten invention patents have been applied for. He has published over 40 EI/SCI papers, including nearly 20 IEEE Transactions and other Zone 1 papers published by the first/correspondence author. He was awarded the best paper in the 2016-2017 IEEE Power&Energy Society General Meeting, and was awarded the outstanding reviewer of IEEE Transactions on Power Systems in 2017 and 2019, with two monographs.

Assoc. Prof. Mahdi Deimi Dasht Bayaz

ITMO University, Russia

Biography:

Dr. Mahdi Deymi-dashtebayaz is an associate professor at HSU university (and a senior researcher at ITMO University) where he is now focusing on energy systems especially Renewable energies. For than 15 years, Mahdi has been working as a process engineer, researcher, co-supervisor, and professor for various companies/universities in Iran. Mahdi holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering (energy conversion) from Shahrood University of technology. His major interests are design of renewable energies systems, heat recovery and cogeneration systems, refrigeration system, and natural gas processing. In recent years, he has focused on the renewable-based multi generation systems, energy recovery and energy saving methods. He has published more than 80 papers in high rank journals and more than 50 in international conference. Also, Mahdi has participated in more than 20 research projects with various industries in Iran as moderator or collaborator. In 2017, Mahdi was introduced as the best researcher in Khorasan province by the governor of Khorasan. Also, he selected as best researcher in Hakim Sabzevari University for 5 times. Mahdi serves as section editor of the Gas Processing Journal and chairman of the committee of education and research of Iran energy association. He collaborates as reviewer in the Journal of Cleaner Production, Applied Energy, Energy, Applied Thermal Engineering, International Journal of Refrigeration, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, Energy Conversion and Management and International Journal of Energy Research. In 2021, he started working with the ITMO University as a senior researcher in the form of a fellowship program.
